Rev.Jacob Memorial Christian College , Ambilikkai, is a small Liberal Arts, co-ed college founded in 1997 as the first self-financed college in Dindigul Dt. Having built on the Christian ideals of peace, good will, tolerance and service, the college is committed to impart quality education with sound values to young boys and girls and develop them as wholesome , responsible and employable citizens.

The College has been named after the Founder’s father ,Rev. K.M. Jacob who was sighted in the Guinness book of records for his long outstanding service as a priest. The Founder Late  Dr.Jacob Cherian, a PadmaBhushan awardee and his wife Dr.Mary Cherian ( late) are well known  for their outstanding service in medical and educational fields and are fondly remembered as ‘Ayya and Amma ‘ by the local  community .

Set in a serene rural location surrounded by Palani Hills, 7 km from a small city, Oddanchathram , is easily accessible by road (Dindugul, Dharapuram, Coimbatore State highway) or rail.

It offers a range of modern science, commerce, management and language courses to choose from both at UG and PG level. Students get ample opportunities to develop their interests and talents through various co-curricular and extra- curricular activities and clubs, apart from their rigorous academic study.

Students support services are available in terms of transport, mentoring, hostel facilities and special Management scholarships. Well-planned training sessions are conducted for final year and pre final year students to equip them with the required technical and communication skills so as to enable them to get good job opportunities through campus placement cell.
